I so enjoyed our ride the other day, I wanted to ride again today. After I dropped the little ones off at school, I asked Flat Boyd, (while I was filling my water bottle, because he resides on our fridge. Actually, I'll let you in on a little secret, we have 3 Flat Boyd's) if he wanted to join me? and of course he said yes, because we had such a great time the other day. We came upon this "Trail Closed" sign early on the trail. I'm sure I heard Flat Boyd groan out his disappointment, as did I. However, it pays to stop to take pictures of Flat Boyd because right after I snapped this picture I asked the guy in the truck if he knew "how long the trail will be closed?" He said "until now!" and he took the sign down and off we went. Here's another little secret, yes, I enjoy my road bike but I'm slightly afraid of riding on the road. I don't want to get hit by a car! The trail had been closed because they were "spray...

We hope you all had a fun filled Labor Day weekend full of adventure! Flat Boyd had an adventure or two. He was able to hitch a ride with a great family, the Johanson's, and do a little dirt bike riding up near Fairview. It sure is beautiful in those mountains. Just looking at the picture makes me feel like I could sit and meditate. Maybe I should learn how to meditate, and get my Om on. Who knows maybe I could expel a little of this crazy I got going on? I'll bet Boyd meditates, he's so chill and thoughtful. I'm going to ask him today when I see him. I'll keep you posted! On to the next! Pretty much everyday Boyd gets out for his stroll around the hood. I don't know if you can call it a stroll, have you seen how fast he goes in the Jazzy? I think it could rival my Mustang. I think he gets his cruise on because it's really close to the color of his old '67 (I might have the year wrong) Camaro. ...

Hello! My name is Teri, we have a dear friend who's name is Boyd, he lives a few doors down from us. Last December (2017) he was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Boyd is the best kind of friend and neighbor, he loves to get out and get to know people, I don't know a kid who doesn't love Boyd, our 3 all love him! Yesterday I was over talking with Boyd and his amazing, beautiful, awesome, sweet, strong, fun, talented, loving (did I mention amazing? cause she is!) wife. Boyd reminded me that my oldest son, Connor and I had invited him to come mountain biking with us last summer. He had just bought himself a road bike and had saved up for a mountain bike, then he got this diagnosis. I told him what crap I think it is that he has ALS, I don't know anyone who doesn't want to spend more time with Boyd. They've only lived in the neighborhood 4 years, we haven't had enough fun! I told him t...
